The Thriving Third District's Special Games:

In partnership with Valley-Wide Recreation & Park District, the Third District is proud to host Special Games on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Veterans Park (32394 Richardson St., Menifee).
Special Games is an event designed for athletes of all ages with developmental disabilities to participate in non-competitive games and an awards ceremony. Each athlete is paired up with a volunteer to act as their buddy during the event and participate alongside them. All athletes will be presented with a participation medal.
Pre-registration will open on Monday, July 1, 2024 and is required for both volunteers and athletes.

Any volunteer under the age of eighteen will need to submit a Volunteer Liability Waiver to [email protected] no later than 24 hours after the submission of the Volunteer Sign Up Google Form.

All athletes will need to submit an Athlete Waiver to [email protected] by Friday, September 13, 2024. Athletes without an Athlete Waiver on file will NOT be able to participate.
District News
District Road Improvements:

Pauba Road (Via Del Monte to Calle Contento )
To begin in Fall 2024. Construction is anticipated to take 9 months to complete; including time to complete relocation of facilities.
Skyview Pedestrian Bridge
Construction will begin in August 2024; anticipated to take 9-12 months.
Pourroy Road / Butterfield Stage Road
Intersection Improvements will begin in August 2024; construction is anticipated to take 4-5 months to complete due to time needed for concrete curing.
Stetson Avenue and Yale St. Traffic Signal Installation
Construction is anticipated in early 2025. The project is currently in the design phase.
Resurfacing Projects:
Johnston Avenue (San Jacinto Street to east of Stanford Street)
Currently under construction; anticipated to be completed by the end of March 2024.
Acacia Avenue (San Jacinto Street to east of New Chicago Avenue)
Currently in the design phase; anticipated to be completed by late 2024.
Thornton Avenue (Cornell Street to Soboba Road)
Currently in the design phase; anticipated to be completed by early 2025.
